Certified IT™

Why Certified IT exists

When I sit down with business owners the same themes come up again and again:
“We just want our technology to work. We want to feel protected. We don’t want surprises. We don’t know who to trust”

The truth is you don’t know. There is not a universal minimum standard, minimum amount of training or oversight to IT companies – until now. SpectraCyber certifies IT companies to ensure that IT Companies provide services that match the fast paced changes in our industry. PlanForTechnology is the first IT company in the Delaware Valley to meet Spectra’s strict guidelines.

“Technology should make your business more predictable. Not more complicated.”

— Joshua Schricker, Founder

Perspective

Certified IT vs traditional IT support

Most IT environments evolve from years of quick fixes and undocumented changes. Certified IT replaces that with
a structured, verifiable model.

Certified IT Traditional IT
Standards-driven Reactive and ad-hoc
Fully documented Best-effort notes
Independently validated Self-reported
Compliance & insurance aware Tool-focused
Predictable operations Frequent surprises

Our perspective

Why documentation and verification matter

I grew up around insurance underwriting. My father spent his career evaluating risk—how it’s measured,
documented, and priced. It’s always puzzled me how many businesses purchase IT services without evaluating their risk. IT isn’t about fixes computers – its about enabling a business to be profitable.

Certified IT was created to change that. Instead of “we think we have that,” you get clear diagrams, policies,
configurations, and third-party validation that show exactly how your environment is secured and managed.
